About Me

My name is Jessica May Jensen

I'm a certified Usui Reiki Master, sound healer, and trauma-informed life coach. I practice and facilitate traditional Usui Reiki.

I chose to become a Reiki practitioner after experiencing its powerful effects on my own health and well-being after being diagnosed with an autoimmune disorder and finding long-sought-after relief.

I take a holistic approach to my work, understanding that each person's journey is unique and that healing requires a combination of physical, emotional, and spiritual support. With a gentle touch and a compassionate spirit, it is my intention to create a safe and welcoming space for clients to relax and release.

Whether you are seeking relief from physical pain, dealing with anxiety or depression, or simply looking to improve your overall sense of well-being, I am here to support you on your journey to health and wholeness. I am committed to helping you discover the transformative power of Reiki for yourself!

You might not know that I am also an ordained minister and can officiate your wedding. It is my honor to work alongside you to create a loving ceremony that respects to your spiritual beliefs and is as unique as you are.

About Reiki

Reiki is a form of energy healing that originated in Japan in the early 20th century. The word "Reiki" comes from the Japanese words "rei" (meaning "universal" or "spiritual") and "ki" (meaning "life force energy"). Reiki practitioners believe that this life force energy flows through all living things and can be harnessed to promote healing, balance, and well-being.

During an in-person Reiki session, the practitioner will use their hands to channel this energy into the recipient's body. The recipient is fully clothed and can either sit or lie down to promote relaxation. The practitioner may place their hands directly on the recipient's body or hold them slightly above.

In a distance Reiki session, the practitioner uses visualization techniques to send the energy to the recipient across time and space. The energy flows through the practitioner's hands into the recipient's body, promoting relaxation, reducing stress, and helping to release physical and emotional blockages.

Reiki is not a religious practice. It can be utilized by people of any faith or belief system. Reiki is often used as a complementary therapy to traditional medical treatments, although it is not intended to replace medical care. Reiki is considered safe and non-invasive.
